Canadian duo Death From Above 1979 were on their way to the top. Hailed as the new White Stripes, Jesse Keeler (bass, synthesizer) and Sebastian Grainger (drums, vocals) put on shows that left audiences stunned. What the two lost in the process was their friendship. So they split up after five years together and only one furious album ("You're A Woman, I'm A Machine", 2006), because they didn't want to continue making music just for the sake of fame.

They were convinced that the band could only function with passion and love for music. At the beginning of this decade they got back together, played gigs and released the grandiose comeback album "The Physical World" in 2014.

For their first live record Death From Above recorded one of their still breathtaking performances at Third Man's Blue Room in Nashville in 1979 - direct, raw and rough, with the experience of ten years and the energy of the magic moment.
