At Dutch Vinyl, we take pride in curating a wide and ever-growing selection of vinyl records. With such a large range, we endeavour to add at least a little background or context to help you decide what might be of interest to you.
In most cases, we source descriptions directly from our suppliers. These are often provided by distributors or record labels and can sometimes be more marketing-focused than musical. Wherever possible, we also look for genuine reviews and quotes from well-known and reliable music publications such as Pitchfork, Rolling Stone, The Guardian, NME, and AllMusic — adding extra insight into the music, the artist, or the story behind the record.
When a good supplier description isn’t available or doesn’t offer much detail, we use AI to generate a short summary, which we then review and adjust where needed. It’s a practical way to make sure every listing has something informative, even if it’s not perfect.
We’re a small, independent store doing our best to keep things accurate and interesting – but with thousands of titles, we know we might not always get everything right.
If you notice anything that seems off or could be improved, we’d really appreciate hearing from you. Please get in touch at content@dutchvinyl.com.au
