Wes Montgomery Vinyl Records

Wes Montgomery was an American jazz guitarist, born in Indianapolis, Indiana in 1923. He is considered one of the most influential jazz guitarists of all time. His signature style combined a lyrical, melodic approach to soloing, with a distinctive use of octaves and a percussive thumb-picking technique.

Montgomery's career began in the late 1950s, and he quickly gained popularity with his album "The Incredible Jazz Guitar of Wes Montgomery". He went on to release several classic albums such as "Movin' Wes", "A Day in the Life", "Bumpin'", and "Goin' Out of My Head". His most well-known songs include "Four on Six", "Round Midnight", "The Shadow of Your Smile", "West Coast Blues", and "Windy and Warm".

An interesting fact about Wes Montgomery is that he never received any formal musical training and taught himself how to play guitar by listening to records. He is considered to have been a pioneer in the development of jazz guitar technique.
