Their most successful album was their 1988 release, What Up, Dog?, which featured the hits “Walk the Dinosaur” and “Spy in the House of Love”, as well as the lesser known but equally as good “Papa Was a Rolling Stone”.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eOne interesting fact about Was (Not Was) is that they were the first band to use the famous talk-box, which was famously used by Peter Frampton and is a device used to give a guitar a vocal-like quality.
