Monster Magnet are one of the most creative, diverse and hard rocking contemporary US bands and are considered the pioneers of the "Stoner Rock" genre. They are known for their distinctive sound, authenticity, ability to grow musically and also for their multi-layered and witty compositions.

A fusion of garage rock, progressive rock, heavy metal, punk and psychedelic elements, "Last Patrol" is Monster Magnet's tenth studio album and a clear statement of the band's character. Apart from musical influences, the band has always been inspired by comic books, science fiction, horror movies and B-movies by e.g. Roger Gorman or Russ Myer. "'Last Patrol' is a return to our roots in terms of vibe and recording process.

It's psychedelic space rock with a '60s garage feel, recorded almost entirely on vintage guitars, amps and effects in our Hometown of Red Bank, New Jersey. The songs could best be described as space noir. Stories of cosmic revenge, overflowing libido, exclusion and epic strangeness.
