Nils Frahm – Wintermusik

Nils Frahm enjoyed his musical education with Nahum Brodski, one of the great masters of Russian piano art. This was a reason to occupy himself with the works of classical pianists, but also an impetus to allow for contemporary influences. Frahm works as a composer and producer in his adopted hometown of Berlin, where he founded the "Durton Studio" in early 2008 and has already collaborated with artists such as Peter Broderick and Dustin O'Halloran. His solo piano debut "Wintermusik" is largely carried by piano melodies. Only sometimes do celesta and harmonium shimmer through in the three instrumental pieces. Contemplative passages and melancholic choruses create an intimate atmosphere that captivates the listener. A release on the London music label Erased Tapes Records that perfectly suits cold winter weather.
