Bud Powell – The Scene Changes, Vol. 5 (75th Anniversary)

Bud Powell was, like once Charlie Parker, one of the amazingly fast bebop players. But the pianist was not only fast, he also added flourishes to the music and wrote many of his amazing compositions himself. His best albums appeared at the beginning of his career, many of them for Blue Note in the 1950s. Over the years Powell became increasingly eccentric, but on this last recording for the label he showed once again why he was one of the best musicians of his era.
