Released in 1988, it followed the group’s breakthrough and reinforced their reputation for fast-moving songs, lean guitar work and Ralphe Loeb’s expressive vocals. The record sits firmly within the late-1980s British indie scene, but its bright hooks and restless momentum helped it stand apart from many of its contemporaries. A compact, lively set, it remains one of the band’s most appealing statements, balancing urgency with the kind of pop instinct that made their best work memorable.

Artist: The Woodentops

Label: Rough Trade – 460895 1

Format: LP, Album

Units: 1

Country: Australia

Released: 1988

Genre:
          Punk &
