The Jam Vinyl Records

The Jam was an English punk rock band formed in Woking, Surrey in 1972. It was composed of singer/guitarist Paul Weller, bassist Bruce Foxton, and drummer Rick Buckler. They were at the forefront of the British punk rock scene, and their songs combined elements of punk, mod, and R&B.

The Jam's first album, In the City, was released in 1977 and featured singles such as "In the City", "Slow Down", and "Away from the Numbers". Their second album, This Is the Modern World, was released the following year and contained the hit singles "All Around the World", "The Modern World", and "Down in the Tube Station at Midnight".

The band's third album, All Mod Cons, was released in 1978 and is considered their most successful album, containing the singles "Strange Town", "To Be Someone (Didn't We Have a Nice Time)", and "David Watts".

The Jam's fourth album, Setting Sons, was released in 1979 and contained the singles "Thick as Thieves", "The Eton Rifles", and "The Butterfly Collector".

The Jam's fifth and final album, The Gift, was released in 1982 and featured the singles "Town Called Malice" and "Just Who Is the 5 O'Clock Hero?".

The Jam's most successful single, "Town Called Malice", reached number one in the UK Singles Chart in 1982 and is widely regarded as one of the greatest punk songs of all time.

An interesting fact about The Jam is that they were the first punk band to perform at the Royal Albert Hall in London. They played there in 1979 and were well received by the audience.
