Roy Ayers Ubiquity

Roy Ayers Ubiquity was an American funk, soul, and jazz band led by renowned vibraphonist Roy Ayers. Founded in Los Angeles in the late 1960s, the band recorded a series of highly acclaimed albums in the 1970s, including Everybody Loves the Sunshine (1976), Vibrations (1976), and Fever (1978). Their standout songs include “Everybody Loves the Sunshine,” “Searchin,” and “Running Away.”

In the 1980s, Roy Ayers Ubiquity disbanded and Roy Ayers began a successful solo career. In the 2000s, the band reformed and released a series of albums, including Virgin Ubiquity II: Unreleased Recordings 1976-1981 (2005) and Virgin Ubiquity: Remixed (2007).

An interesting fact about Roy Ayers Ubiquity is that they have had numerous notable members over the years, including jazz keyboardist Patrice Rushen and bassist Wilton Felder.
