Thrice Woven – Wolves In The Throne Room
Wolves In The Throne Room brings Black Metal back to its roots as an ode to the storm, smoke and wild energies of the Pacific Northwest.
Their first studio album "Diadem Of 12 Stars" (2006) was a genre-resolving classic that created a melancholic and psychedelic cascaded atmosphere. Since then they have become one of the strongest and most respected bands in their genre.
The listener encounters crystalline metal riffs that slowly collapse and turn into ritual lamentation and the song of endless rain falling on old cedar trees. Their music is a door to a mythical ethereal pagan landscape that is associated with music, magic and dreams. Now with "Thrice Woven" a portal opens into the band's dream world. It is a glorious return to the glowing and angry black metal that only Wolves In The Throne Room can create to this extent.
