Mod
Mod is a musical style that originated in the United Kingdom in the late 1950s and early 1960s. It is characterized by a fusion of various musical styles such as jazz, soul, rhythm and blues, ska, and rockabilly. Mod music was heavily influenced by American blues and soul, as well as the sound of British youth culture. It was popularized by bands such as The Who, The Kinks, and The Small Faces. In the late 1960s and early 1970s, mod was replaced by a more progressive form of rock, known as "prog rock".
