In January 1967, he left to join the second incarnation of the Melbourne band The Wild Cherries, writing most on the band's four singles for the Festival label.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe Coloured Balls played punk rock four years before punk emerged in the UK: heavily influenced by US bands, MC5 and Flamin' Groovies.
