Herbie Hancock is an American pianist, keyboardist, composer, and bandleader, born in 1940 in Chicago, Illinois. He has had a successful career in music, beginning in the 1960s when he played in the Miles Davis Quintet. Since then, he has gone on to record more than 50 albums, collaborate with some of the biggest names in the industry, and win 14 Grammy Awards.
Herbie Hancock's most acclaimed albums include Maiden Voyage (1965), Empyrean Isles (1964), and Head Hunters (1973). His most famous songs include "Cantaloupe Island", "Chameleon", and "Rockit".
An interesting fact about Herbie Hancock is that he was the first artist to win a Grammy Award for Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals for his collaboration with Stevie Wonder and Willie Nelson on the song "Harvest for the World" in 1986.
