Guns N' Roses is an American hard rock band that formed in Los Angeles, California in 1985. The band was formed by vocalist Axl Rose and guitarist Izzy Stradlin, along with drummer Steven Adler, bassist Duff McKagan, and rhythm guitarist Slash. The band has gone through numerous lineup changes, leaving Rose as the only consistent member.

Guns N' Roses are one of the best-selling bands of all time, having sold more than 100 million records worldwide, including 45 million in the United States. Their 1987 debut album Appetite for Destruction has sold over 30 million copies worldwide and is the highest-selling debut album of all time. The band released the albums G N' R Lies, Use Your Illusion I and Use Your Illusion II in 1991, which have sold a combined 35 million copies worldwide.
