Dub
Dub is a style of electronic music that originated in Jamaica in the late 1960s and early 1970s. It was a precursor to reggae and was created by mixing existing reggae tracks with additional sounds and effects. Dub music typically features the heavy bass-driven sound of the original reggae tracks and the addition of reverb, delay, and other effects. Dub music also often features sparse percussion, such as drum machines and samples, and often has a strong focus on the low-end frequencies. Dub is often seen as an influence on a variety of music genres, including hip-hop, electronica, and drum and bass.
