Deathcore

Deathcore is a subgenre of metalcore that originated in the early 2000s. It combines elements of extreme metal, such as death metal, with elements of hardcore punk, such as breakdowns and blast beats. Characteristic features of the genre include deep, guttural vocals, heavily distorted and low-tuned guitars, double-kick drumming, and complex song structures. Deathcore is often focused on themes of violence, hatred, and death. The genre was developed by bands such as All Shall Perish, The Red Chord, and Animosity, who blended death metal and hardcore punk to create a more extreme sound.
