Crowded House

Crowded House is an Australian-New Zealand rock band that was formed in Melbourne, Australia in 1985. The band was originally composed of Neil Finn, Paul Hester, Nick Seymour and Craig Hooper.

Crowded House released their self-titled debut album in 1986, which was a commercial success in Australia and New Zealand, and earned them a Grammy nomination for Best New Artist. The album featured their most successful single, “Don’t Dream It’s Over,” which reached number two on the US Billboard Hot 100.

Their follow-up album, Temple of Low Men, was released in 1988 and included the hit single, “Better Be Home Soon.” The band’s third album, Woodface, was released in 1991 and featured the hit single, “Four Seasons in One Day.”

Crowded House disbanded in 1996, but reunited in 2006 and released their fourth album, Time on Earth, in 2007. The album featured the single “Don’t Stop Now,” which was a top 20 hit in the UK.

The band’s most recent album, Intriguer, was released in 2010 and featured the single “Saturday Sun.”

An interesting fact about Crowded House is that they have been inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame twice; once in 1994 as a group and once in 2005 as a solo act for Neil Finn.
