Courtney Barnett

Courtney Barnett is an Australian singer-songwriter and musician. She released her first EP, I've Got a Friend Called Emily Ferris, in 2012 and gained international recognition with the release of her debut studio album, Sometimes I Sit and Think, and Sometimes I Just Sit, in 2015. The album was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best New Artist in 2016.

Some of her standout albums include Tell Me How You Really Feel (2018) and her latest release, MTV Unplugged: Live in Melbourne (2020). Her most popular songs include “Pedestrian at Best”, “Avant Gardener”, “Need a Little Time”, “Small Talk” and “Nobody Really Cares if You Don’t Go to the Party”.

An interesting fact about Courtney Barnett is that she has been known to write her songs in the form of spoken word poetry, and she has performed spoken word poetry at the Melbourne Writers Festival.
