Some say the album is ahead of its time - so much so it would ?t into the Trip Hop genre with ease. We'll let you decide. In 1976 Bootsy released \"Stretchin 'Out In Bootsy's Rubber Band\", an offshoot of the Parliament-Funkadelic period from 1971-1975, produced by Funk brother George Clinton. This was his first release with his Rubber Band. It's also one of his best albums.\u003cdiv\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv\u003e\"Stretching Out\" is still considered a funk classic. Bootsy is not only a deserving voice in the funk genre, his bass sounds like no other. Plus, there's no overarching narrative as there would be on successive albums, occasionally to a fault. Instead, this is a collection of stand-alone songs, none topping the six-minute mark.
