Agnes Obel – Aventine

Agnes Obel is originally from Copenhagen and has lived in Berlin since 2006. She recorded "Aventine" in her Chalk Wood Studios in Berlin in spring 2013. As with "Philharmonics", she wrote, arranged and produced the songs on the new album herself. The line-up consists of Agnes Obel (piano / vocals), Anne Müller, who already played with Nils Frahm (cello) and Mika Posen from Timber Timbre on violin and viola.

Agnes Obel about the album: "I recorded songs in a small room. The vocals, the piano - everything seems very close on the recordings. And despite the restraint, I varied the dynamics in the songs a lot, creating something like soundscapes - with only a few instruments, I was able to create something that felt big."
